Hey ” Snarlers”…I mean … Ratepayers…Here’s a quick primer from Local Government on details that may have escaped you.
- Rates have nothing to do with the services received…zilch. They are a tax on the value of your property. So forget the ” get for your rates ” pie charts!
- Debt is not a “bogey “… nah. It’s inter-generational debt that will be paid by your kids and grandkids – so relax.
- Stop trotting along to consultations.. They are – quote ” a formal statutory process in response to a decision that has been taken ” – aka .. done deal. Your inputs are pointless at that point.
- Councils are not a business – more over to the pavlova and shut up.
